A candidate should have :
Sound knowledge of various avenues of procuring content including but not limited to books, regional & international films etc.
Should able to read screenplays, analyze their strengths and weaknesses.
Should have knowledge of writers available in various genres.
A strong network with writing talent in all segments. Relationships and resourcefulness in content acquisition from various sources is key for this position.
A keen understanding of tone and genre, of the underlying structure and language of film narrative, and of the emotional impact different types of films have on various audiences.
Competent at dealing with Creative writers while giving feedback.
A candidate should have working knowledge of Final Draft & technical, essentially required for scripting.

Responsibilities
  • To continuously develop & scout for ideas, scripts and writers.
  • To actively seek out new talent in writing, and cultivate creative relationships & network with screenwriters, agents, directors, and actors.
  • Being constantly updated on knowledge of current viewer preferences, trends and also a sense of future trends.
  • To review, screen scripts/projects for narration and oversee the development of the script.
  • To assist the Producer and/or any other related person nominated to verify research material in order to develop.

Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate/ equivalent experience in Script /Film development or a related field of study.
  • More than 5 to 6 years’ experience of having worked with development team.
  • Candidate to detail projects (films and/or shows) sourced by them that were commissioned and released.
  • A seasoned assistant director or script supervisor who is interested in development but essentially has to have knowledge and network with writers.
  • Strong communication & networking skills.
